    <Content>&lt;p&gt;Knowledge management adoption is widespread in many sectors including the&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;pharmaceutical, manufacturing, energy, consultancy, and legal industries as well as the health and health care fields. Indeed, managing information and knowledge is of strategic importance to all successful business or public sector organisations. This module explores how organisations, be it in the private or public sector, SME or multinational corporation, exploit information and knowledge resources to devise effective digital strategies, create value and gain a competitive advantage.&lt;br /&gt;The aims of this module are therefore:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;To explore these growing organisational information and knowledge resources To identify how they are strategically and operationally managed and exploited effectively as part of an organisation&amp;#39;s digital strategy&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Appreciate the role of digital technologies and digital data as essential resources for understanding the new rules of strategy&lt;br /&gt;To develop skills in analysing and devising effective knowledge management and digital strategies (including platform ecosystem strategies)&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On successful completion of this course unit, students should be able to:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&amp;bull; Appreciate the roles of information and knowledge as essential organisational resources that require strategically planning, managing and exploiting effectively.&lt;br /&gt;&amp;bull; Demonstrate an understanding of the latest digital technologies and digital trends that are linked to knowledge management&lt;br /&gt;&amp;bull; Appreciate the building blocks of successful digital strategies within organisations and how these are linked to knowledge resources.&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</Content>
