The course unit helps students develop independent research skills with assistance from an academic supervisor.NOTE: Students who wish to undertake a dissertation need to secure their supervisor by themselves before the dissertation proposal deadline. The learning outcomes include: - Formulate research questions - Review and evaluate relevant theories/analytical frameworks - Identify and collect appropriate data - Apply a suitable method (quantitative and/or qualitative) to analyse data - Discuss and inform key findings in an academic style   Methods of delivery: This course unit is delivered by means of individual meetings with an agreed supervisor who guides the student throughout the dissertation period. There are no timetabled lectures/seminars.
