<p>By the end of the course students should be expected to be able to:</p><p>- Understand how contemporary management theory and practice has developed, with particular focus on the management of people and organizational change.</p><p>- Understand the relationship between shifting management theories and economic, social and organisational change in the 20th and 21st centuries.</p><p>- Develop the critical and analytical skills necessary to judge the value of recent and emerging organizational and managerial strategies.<br /> </p>
<p>Students should be able to evaluate critically key management theories and perspectives and show how they influenced, and were influenced by, changing social, economic and organisational dynamics.</p>

<p>Students will be assessed on the basis of one examination – answering two questions out of eight (100% of mark for course).</p>
<p>- Personal discussion during office hours, in Zoom meetings, and via email.<br />- Written and/or verbal comments on non-assessed work submitted to tutor.<br />- Generic feedback regarding examination performance posted on Blackboard.</p>
