      <SkillDescription>The course supports the development of a large number of important employment skills, most notably the ability to understand, commit to memory, and successfully deploy the elements of a complex communication system. Conscientious study of an ancient language enhances understanding of English grammatical structures and broadens vocabulary, thereby enhancing the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and eloquently. Students of ancient languages also learn how to extract key elements from complex information and to identify, make sense of, and solve associated problems.</SkillDescription>

  <Syllabus Applicant="Y" Label="Syllabus" Student="Y">
    <Content>&lt;p&gt;This course is intended in the first instance as a continuation of CAHE20151. It completes your introduction to the basics of Greek grammar and syntax, it develops your active and passive competence in the Greek language, and it introduces in the course of language teaching more aspects of Greek culture and literature. Above all, it brings you to the point at which you can begin to read unmodified Greek texts with confidence and accuracy and enjoyment. It is based on John Taylor's Greek to GCSE: Part II, of which you must have a copy before the start of teaching. This course comprises a variety of Greek texts, some adapted from original sources, coupled with grammar, vocabulary and exercises. &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</Content>
