CCMI20042 Managing Festivals and Events 20 Semester 2 Undergraduate Level 2 Art History and Cultural Practices 1 FHEQ level (Framework for Higher Education Qualifications) ' Middle part of Bachelors ' European Credit Transfer & Accumulation System Rating : 10.0 This course unit presents a comprehensive introduction to the arts festivals and cultural events, examining the practices and approaches to their production, management, operations, financing and evaluation, and discovering their values and meanings for individual participants and broader society. You will encounter the range of different festival and event types, consider theoretical perspectives on why they have increased globally in the twentieth and twenty first century and have the opportunity to develop management skills through the development of a festival proposal.  This course unit presents a comprehensive introduction to the arts festivals and cultural events, examining the practices and approaches to their production, management, operations, financing and evaluation, and discovering their values and meanings for individual participants and broader society.
