The year abroad will usually commence in September or October, and may last until May/June (France) or July/August (Germany).</p><p style="box-sizing:inherit;line-height:1.4285em;margin:0px 0px 1em;">Courses and sit examinations are usually taken in the local language. English equivalents of examinations cannot be guaranteed and will not be provided if the partner University does not supply them. Courses are selected by agreement between the student, the receiving University and the course tutor at Manchester. Typically, a student would attend courses at levels equivalent to Year 2, 3 or 4 of the Manchester courses.
