It introduces professional issues in Computer Science, exploring techniques for making career decisions, job searching, submitting applications, being interviewed and competing successfully in the workplace.</div>  <div>This course will teach you how to design, engineer, test and code your future in computing. You'll be introduced to professional issues in computer science, exploring techniques for making career decisions, job searching, submitting applications and competing successfully in interviews and the workplace. Alongside the practical engineering issues of coding and testing your future, this guidebook also encourages you to design your future by taking a step back and thinking more strategically. You'll be introduced to professional issues in computer science, exploring techniques for making career decisions, job searching, submitting applications and competing successfully in interviews and the workplace. Alongside the practical engineering issues of coding and testing your future, this guidebook also encourages you to design your future by taking a step back and thinking more strategically. These will be accompanied by online materials (video, podcasts) for self-study. Six workshops will target problems and exercises to be completed in groups with GTA support. Workshops will be supported by online materials, discussion boards and fora. Practical assignments will be largely group work.
