    <Content>&lt;p&gt;Increasingly our interactions with technology are far removed from one individual sat at a desktop. Software engineers must therefore be able to develop systems that: account for user and system mobility, operate in diverse settings, and execute over novel and heterogenous devices. The course approaches mobile and ubiquitous computing from the perspective of software engineering and human-computer interaction, equipping students the tools needed to develop context-aware interactive software systems over a diverse set of platforms.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The course unit will cover the origins and evolution of mobile and ubiquitous computing paradigms, together with the key technical underpinnings and architectural considerations. Individual and societal considerations for mobile systems will complement these technical aspects. Using these foundations, students will be supported to work on practical computing projects that address contemporary real-world problems for heterogeneous contexts, users and/or platforms. Students will explore different aspects of the software engineering lifecycle for the resulting mobile and ubiquitous systems, including development, deployment, and evaluation.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</Content>
