Students should be able to:<ul><li>Identify how cultural variables affect business and examine how firms can anticipate and cope with cultural differences</li><li>Discuss how various economic, political, and legal systems affect business</li><li>Illustrate internationalisation from theoretical perspectives</li><li>Examine the managerial issues related to strategic planning, human resources management, global supply chain in an international context.</li></ul></div> <div>The unit is designed to give students a fundamental understanding of the environment in which international business operates and of the business practices required to compete successfully in global markets. This unit aims to give an overview of challenges and opportunities of competing in the global marketplace. Canvas will be used to present online study materials, including videos, lecture notes, guided reading, articles and other information.
