MECH10030 Workshop Practice (Mechanical) 0 Full year Undergraduate Level 1 Zekai Murat Kilic Unit coordinator 1 FHEQ level (Framework for Higher Education Qualifications) ' First part HE study/Bachelors ' European Credit Transfer & Accumulation System Rating : 0.0 The workshop practice covers health and safety training, turning, milling, welding and a fabrication and fitting exercise.Due to timetable constraints the module is run over years 1 and 2 as MECH10020 and MECH0020 respectively. The students have to complete 4 exercises and 8 hours of workshop practice over the 2 years. Led by training learning instructors and workshop technicians the students receive training on workshop practice and then manufacture selected products as well as use metrology equipment to assess the manufactured parts   The workshop practice covers health and safety training, turning, milling, welding and a fabrication and fitting exercise.
