    <Content>&lt;p&gt;The unit provides an opportunity to explore a cancer-related topic in greater detail, the underlying basic science and to imagine how present day research can contribute to improved treatment,&amp;nbsp; The starting point for the project will be the topic defined by your chosen supervisor.&amp;nbsp; You will investigate the clinical problem/implications, critically examine previous research that has been reported in the literarure, consider the relevant molecular, cellular and tissue-level processes and any clinical implications.&amp;nbsp; Your supervisor will help you to fill gaps in your basic knowledge.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;During the preparation of your research report and in the course of your discussions with your supervisor, you will gradually become aware of unanswered questions, gaps, controversies and even contradictions in your area of study.&amp;nbsp; You will receive training in developing ideas, hypothesis formulation, devising a workable approach, critically appraising the likely advance this would bring if successful.&lt;/p&gt;</Content>
