Online materials include recorded video content and other interactive materials. Students will engage with online content and work at their own pace - whether that is working through the course in order, or dipping in and out of the following:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li style="margin-left:5.7pt;"&gt;Introduction to eLearning platform and research methods online;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li style="margin-left:5.7pt;"&gt;Dissertations skills- covering literature search, principles of academic writing, critical appraisal of publications, plagiarism and abstract writing;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li style="margin-left:5.7pt;"&gt;Study design - walk through the process of “study design” including an overview of the key research methods used in Biomedical and Human Sciences research (including the benefits and pitfalls of different methods); project planning and time management;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li style="margin-left:5.7pt;"&gt;Ethical issues and principles of good governance that apply to in-vitro and in-vivo&lt;br/&gt;research;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li style="margin-left:5.7pt;"&gt;Statistics - covering a basic introduction to statistical methods;&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li style="margin-left:5.7pt;"&gt;Communication skills - presentation skills and academic posters.&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;</Content>
