    <Content>&lt;p&gt;This Unit aims to provide you with an advanced understanding of haemopoietic stem cell transplantation, aspects of transfusion relevant to H&amp;amp;I, and complex aspects of solid organ transplantation. &amp;nbsp;You will develop knowledge of haemopoietic stem cell donation, testing, harvesting and post-transplant monitoring and how human leukocyte antigen (HLA) typing results are used in the context of matching recipients with suitable donors in a variety of clinical settings. &amp;nbsp;You will evaluate the involvement of H&amp;amp;I in relevant transfusion products, including platelets and granulocytes, including the clinical indications for their use. &amp;nbsp;You will further develop your understanding of complex solid organ transplantation, building on your knowledge of renal transplantation. &amp;nbsp;You will review the use of novel medicinal products that are under development and becoming available as an alternative to traditional solid organ and haemopoietic stem cell transplants. Finally, you will evaluate the myriad of ethical considerations that pertain to both the donor and recipient of the variety of transplant types that are available.&lt;/p&gt;</Content>
