HRP2 builds alongside and beyond HRP1 through an exploration of HR practice topics and associated structures of practice in a range of organisational contexts, in order to build a contextualised experience of HR frameworks for practitioners.

In addition to formal lectures on central themes in HRP, the unit presents experience and materials for students to develop organisational case studies through meetings with key practitioners from different sectors of industry focused on exploring HRP topics

 </MarketingOverview>
 <UnitOverview Applicant="" Label="Course unit overview" Student="Y">

The course unit aims to give students an understanding and awareness of the way in which the practices of human resource are planned and organised in organisational contexts. This includes an analysis of the links between theories of HRP and HR practices in organisations, a focus on different models of HRP, and an analysis of how HRP is delivered by practitioners in organisations, including HRBPs, leaders and line managers. These key issues will be illustrated with examples from specific areas of HRP in differing organisational situations.

There will also be a continuing focus on research methods used in HRM research, so that students can appreciate how research methods and theoretical/empirical findings relate to one another through working on an assignment.
