<p>To provide experience of data analysis, statistical calculations, and the use of scientific software.</p>
<p>Students should:</p><ul> <li>develop an understanding of the key elements of sample variability, experimental design and statistical testing</li> <li>gain an awareness of the means to quantify variability within populations; be able to select appropriate statistical tests</li> <li>be able to present experimental and clinical data clearly; identify differences between samples and in find associations between variables; apply statistics within experimental design</li> <li>be familiar with the use office software in order to perform calculations.</li></ul>
<p>This course is delivered through Blackboard, there are no lectures.</p><p>Weekly exercises within the Blackboard virtual learning environment, supported by briefing material delivered within this Blackboard course (including documents, slide-shows, podcasts and external links).</p>
