PCHN20241 Skills for Critical Thinkers 10 Semester 1 Undergraduate Level 5 Athanasia Papastergiou Unit coordinator Division of Psychology Communication and Human Neu 1 FHEQ level (Framework for Higher Education Qualifications) ' First part HE study/Bachelors ' European Credit Transfer & Accumulation System Rating : 5.0 Skills for critical thinkers runs in semester 1 of the second year of study and will build on the academic skills unit in Y1 and support students ahead of the Y3 unit focussing on leadership.  This course unit provides key knowledge, understanding and skills required for students to develop and enhance their critical thinking skills in relation to their own work and the work of others (e.g. the published literature). Students will be supported with skills such as how to deconstruct essay questions, evaluate evidence, develop logical and coherent arguments, and present a clear and direct answer. Online resources will be used to support directed asynchronous teaching and learning.
