Students should be able to:•    Analyse human and pharmaceutical factors to determine the most appropriate dosage form for a specific product. •    Apply mathematical concepts to determine the suitability of solutions and colloidal systems. •    Determine the quality control procedures applied to liquid and semi-solid formulations to ensure that safety requirements and product specifications are satisfactorily met. The learning material comprises 9 chapters covering the key areas of liquid and semi-solid dosage forms. Each chapter contains a number of exercises together with suggested answers for students to check their learning as they progress through the unit. The unit tutor is available to answer queries and provide guidance as required.
