The team manager has the responsibility to manage, timeline, cost and risk.  Many students are from one specialist background and it is valuable to understand the overall process, as few people have the chance to take a drug from bench to bedside.</div>   Students will be able to:•    Develop their understanding of the many detailed terminologies relating to drug discovery and development  •    Gain familiarity with the principles in developing either a novel or best in class new drug. The learning material comprises 30 chapters covering all the key areas of product development. Each chapter contains a number of exercises for students to check their learning as they progress through the unit. A reference list of further reading is provided at the end of chapters, allowing the student to investigate the subject area more deeply, and the unit tutor is available to answer queries and provide guidance as required.
