    <Content>&lt;div&gt;	&lt;p&gt;This unit aligns with the key principles of safe and effective prescribing practice delivered in the accompanying unit &lt;em&gt;Clinical assessment, diagnosis and prescribing practice&lt;/em&gt;. This unit engages the learner in a series of activities, learning exercises and reflective materials to provide them with an in-depth understanding of the legal, ethical, professional issues related to prescribing to support them in developing as competent prescribers. Students will be supported in evaluating their professional responsibility and accountability associated with prescribing. Prescribing in the wider context of the multi-disciplinary team will be reviewed, alongside responsibilities related to prescribing in a public-health context.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Students will develop the ability to synthesis and critically evaluate prescribing related literature and evaluate the evidence base for prescribing practice.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Throughout this unit the student&amp;rsquo;s experience in practice under the supervision of a designated medical practitioner (DMP) will provide the opportunity to consolidate this learning through application of theory to practice.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</Content>
