    <Content>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Past Projects include : -&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The Ising ferromagnet&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Neutron Stars&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Numerical solutions of the Schr&amp;ouml;dinger equation&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Scars in wave functions&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Simulation of road traffic&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Organisation&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div&gt;The first three weeks of the course will be delivered in a computer cluster with three short assessments of the&amp;nbsp;work done. These are not marked, but must be rated satisfactory before progressing onto the project.&amp;nbsp;Projects are taken in pairs and supervised by an academic; there is a total of 7 weeks to finish the projects, after which a report will have to be submitted. The work will be assessed on the report, and by a short talk and an interview.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Note&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Facilities are not available for resits. A student who has failed may be permitted to submit further assessments, based on laboratory work already carried out, in order to pass the course unit.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</Content>
