PHYS30810 Professional Placement 120 Full year Undergraduate Level 3 Scott Kay Unit coordinator 1 FHEQ level (Framework for Higher Education Qualifications) ' Last part of a Bachelors ' European Credit Transfer & Accumulation System Rating : 60.0 This course unit detail provides the framework for delivery in 20/21 and may be subject to change due to any additional Covid-19 impact.  Please see Blackboard / course unit related emails for any further updates. This course unit is taken by all students on a placement year as part of the degree programme, Physics with Professional Placement. Students are eligible to go on a placement after their second year or, instead, after their third year if they are an Integrated Masters student. Students are required to secure their own placement, supported by staff from the Department and the Careers Service. All placements must be approved by the Department; following approval, students are transferred on to the degree programme. While on placement, students are provided with an Academic Mentor who will be regular contact with them to discuss progress and also assess their work. AssessmentAssessment is on a pass/fail basis. Students will require a satisfactory Employer’s report during the initial placement period.
