    <Content>&lt;p&gt;Health promotion &amp;nbsp;is a key aspect of Public Health practice. &amp;nbsp;In this unit, you will start by exploring your own views and beliefs about health and wellbeing and where they originated from to support a shared definition of health. We will consider the evidence for health inequalities and explore the wider determinants of health and wellbeing. You will explore the role of health promotion in reducing health inequalities through a focus on the socio-economic determinants of health, viewing the theory and evidence to support. Students will learn about the history and theories that underpin health promotion &amp;nbsp;policies and practice.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</Content>

    <Content>&lt;p&gt;Students will have the opportunity for synchronous and asynchronous learning on this unit. &amp;nbsp;Materials used during the in-person seminars will be supported by online resources on the VLE (Canvas) and Articulate Rise. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The e-learning resources will include discussion boards and non-assessed self-tests. &amp;nbsp;There will be x10 weekly 2-hour seminars over the course of the unit, and students will be able to develop discussion from these sessions via the online discussion boards within the VLE (Canvas).&lt;br&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</Content>
