    <Content>&lt;p&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 12px"&gt;The aim of the course is to give students an introduction to the way in which Britain can be understood as a diverse society by examining the concepts of multiculturalism, islamaphobia, racism, diversity and migration from a range of disciplinary perspectives. These disciplines will include sociology, history, medicine, drama and American Studies (music and film). An historic overview of the construction of racialised discourses will be presented. The ways in which institutions have tried to tackle the issues of prejudice, racism and xenophobia will be also examined. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;</Content>
